HCS2000TM
HCS2000
Patch A (9/15/01)
The first patch for HCS2000 includes the following new features and
corrections in this new version:
- A Two-Lane Highways module for Windows,
implementing the procedures in HCM2000 Chapter 20, was added.
- Signal Timing Estimation (via
SOAP2K) is now available for traffic-actuated signals.Note:
This methodology estimates actuated phase lengths, implementing the procedures
from HCM2000 Chapter 16, Appendix B, and does not optimize timing for minimum
delay. Please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions and/or the Signals Help
for more information.
- In the Signals module, additional
Formatted Report options were added for Short (One-Page Summary), Long (Input,
Volume/Saturation Flow & Capacity/LOS) and Full (All Worksheets) report
combinations; Supplemental Left-Turn Worksheet calculations were modified to
correct some problems with shared lanes under protected-permitted phasing;
Back of Queue computations were corrected, related to the queue progression
factor and protected-permitted phasing; and de facto left-turn lane
designations and calculations were corrected.
- In the Unsignal
Module, the Quick Entry screen was modified to correct an error with
certain southbound exclusive and shared lane configurations, and the
Text Report was modified to correct an error in reporting certain
exclusive and shared lane configurations.
-
In the Freeways module, certain limits on flow rates and
densities are now enforced for LOS F situations.
- In the Ramps module, corrections
to the V12 equation selection were made for certain data sets.
