Modules:

Release 4.1 comprises a complete installation of HCS in which Freeways, Weaving, Ramps, Multilane, TwoLane, Signals, Unsignal, Arterials (Urban Streets), Transit and the Main Menu have been upgraded.  The new Freeway Facilities module is incorporated initially as a research-level spreadsheet.

Signals:

Optimizing a phase design that includes an all-pedestrian phase may give unreasonable results.

When files with the "CBD or Similar" box checked are saved in XML format, then retrieved, this attribute may be changed to not "CBD or Similar" (unchecking the box) which can affect results.  If you experience this problem, please contact McTrans.

Some critical lane disignations are missing from the formatted report for some data sets, but the text report does report them and subsequent calculations are unaffected.

Unsignals:

For delay results greater than 1000 sec/veh, the Results section of the Input screen may truncate those values.  The reports (text and formatted) contain the correct values.

Arterials:

Retrieved data files may revert the free-flow speed to the default for the class, replacing an edited value which can change results.  If you experience this problem, please contact McTrans.

Importing Signals files with very long filenames and/or file paths can result in extremely small fonts when printing the Text Report if the "Fit Text Report to Page" box is checked in the Edit ... Settings ... Current/Default screen.  Unchecking this box in Current for those files with this situation will resolve this in most instances.  Otherwise, the Signals filename and/or path must be shortened.

Ramps:

For some data sets, the LEQ equation uses the wrong sign for the term including VR, which can change results for some analyses.   If you experience this problem, please contact McTrans.
