Highway Capacity Analysis Virtual Series

This course is for engineering and planning professionals who wish to understand HCM methods and their applications. It is also designed to provide a solid foundation for studying for exams such as PE or PTOE.

Experienced instructors will provide an overview of the methodology steps, highlighting key concepts, best practices, common mistakes and limitations of the methods. The instructor will also highlight major methodological changes in the 7th Edition of the HCM (2022). Several example problems will be discussed in class and students will have the opportunity to practice the use of the Highway Capacity Software (HCS) to perform HCM-based capacity analyses.

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Attendees must meet minimum technology requirements such as having a computer with a steady internet connection and access to basic applications such as Zoom and a PDF reader. The use of HCS for the hands-on problem presented in the course is optional to attendees.

A comprehensive workbook is provided for the lectures. The use of the Highway Capacity Software (HCS) is strongly recommended for the classes – a time-limited version can be provided to students upon request.

The series is organized as follows, with all presentations from 1:00pm to 5:00pm ET.

Course fees are $500 per person

For multiple registrations from the same agency or company on a single transaction, the fee is discounted 10% at $450 per person.

Course Certification and PDHs

Upon completing this course, attendees are provided a course certificate and 12 PDHs.
